May 31, 2017 - We have dozens of dogs and puppies available for adoption at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus
PAWS Atlanta has a limited amount of space for homeless cats and dogs at our shelter, and there are many more than we can house needing rescue. Our foster program allows us to rescue more animals, and it also gives us the opportunity to better socialize and learn about the pets in our care before they go up for adoption. Our pets need fostering for as little as 2-4 weeks or as long as several months. PAWS Atlanta provides the medical care, food, and supplies. You provide the love and shelter! To take part in the PAWS Atlanta Foster Program you must submit a completed application to and then set up a home inspection. We appreciate you helping us save more pets!

A socialized pet naturally has a much greater chance of being adopted. Socialization activities may include: walking on a leash, mastering stairs, adjusting to schedules, and mingling politely with family, friends and neighbors.
The PAWS Atlanta Foster Care Program is also a lifeline for underage, sick or injured animals that may need a little extra time before being adopted. With the love and care of devoted foster parents, these helpless animals can thrive.
