We would say that before adopting a Pit Bull type dog, people should know that there are no special behaviors that make "Pit Bulls" different from other dogs. Their behavior is canine behavior. Furthermore, all Pit Bulls (and all dogs) are individuals with vastly differing personality traits. Some are couch potatoes while others are sleek athletes. Some are party-hardies while others prefer a quiet life with just their special people.
Toby is very affectionate, he loves to give kisses and crawl up in your lap. He also loves going to mobile adoptions because everyone feeds him so many treats! His favorite form of exercise is fetching the tennis ball. His foster mom takes him on walks with her other foster dogs and he's slowly learning to enjoy the company of other dogs. He knows some basic commands such as Sit and Down and he's working on Stay and Come.

Saving Grace keeps about 60 to 80 dogs available for adoption and generally has a variety of sizes, shapes, ages and temperaments. When an adopting family comes to Saving Grace, we want to learn as much about you as we know about our dogs. Our second location is in Mukwonago, WI. ALL dogs travel to Mukwonago for adoption. We do not do local adoptions as there are WAY too many dogs that need homes already. We do a monthly adoption event at the Tractor Supply Company there and what ever dogs aren't lucky enough to find their forever home will stay in foster homes or at our WI rescue center. ALL dogs are with us until they are lucky enough to find their furever home! Each year we rescue thousands of dogs who have been lost, discarded, abandoned, injured or neglected. Most are lost dogs who have not been reclaimed by their original owners. We do everything we can to find a loving and responsible new home for every adoptable dog or puppy. All of our dogs available for adoption have been spayed (females) or neutered (males). We strongly encourage you to spay or neuter your pets! All pets at the Kentucky Humane Society are spayed or neutered and micro-chipped and are up-to-date on vaccinations. If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please make adoption your first option. If we don't have the perfect pet for you now, keep checking our website. We take in hundreds of homeless pets a month and have a wide selection of adoptable cats and dogs.
