Royal Canin Breed Health Nutrition Puppy Dog Food receives the Advisor’s second-lowest tier rating of 2.5 stars.
Well, to be brutally honest, it’s only up from here. Royal Canin is perhaps the last food I’d feed to my dog. Not only are the ingredients poor, but it’s way overpriced as well. Seems like the only people that feed this got bad information on it from their vet or breeder, which is too bad because how would you know any better.
Royal Canin Mini is a plant-based dry dog food using a moderate amount of chicken meal as its main source of animal protein, thus earning the brand 3 stars.
Royal canin is simply the best food a dog could eat,
Royal Canin MINI Adult Dog Food
I had a chihuahua for three years and I fed him Royal Canin food since he was a puppy to adult. One day, I noticed he started developing issues with urinating and just feeling VERY sick. I took him to the vet, had some X-rays done and bad news came. My poor Bobby was diagnosed with very very large bladder stones and a severe urinary tract infection. My vet told me that this was 95% from food. Not even surgery would help and I was forced to put him down, there was no option. My dog never had any symptoms and this came as a shock. My mixed Bichon Frise dog is the pickiest eater. Tried most of the dog foods and he only ate the Bichon Frise from Royal Canin ordered thru Amazon with no hesitation. I saw all negative comments and got scared but I also wanted to share my input.I have heard other related stories all caused by ROYAL CANIN. PLEASE DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG THIS FOOD. Read the ingredients, all chemicals. My eyes are now opened! If you wouldn't eat it, don't let your pooch eat it. There are other dog food brands that provide healthier options. This food killed my dog, I now warn everyone about this brand. I am not the first pet owner whose dog went through bladder stones caused by Royal Canin, this brand should be recalled and taken off store shelves! I do not recommend this food to any animal, not even rats. Our 3 year old 70 lb dog was overweight and had always had digestive problems. We tried many foods. Our vet suggested Royal Canine Satiety. The very 1st day we watched an amazing change. All the digestive problems disappeared. We didn't even have to mix their old food like usual for a break in period. Both dogs loved it. We only have to feed probably a 3rd as much food because of the nutrition, so we are probably even on the extra cost on food alone. Then there is the 13lb weight loss in 6 months that we could never accomplish before. She is at 57. I saw all the bad reviews. WE ARE HAPPY Campers!!!Royal Canin is a great food. My dog had been on many foods before but only liked Cesar's, as most small dogs do, but then she got sick and I had to get a prescription Royal Canin (two different types) and she loved them. I highly recommend this product. It is hard to find the prescription brand, as you do need a prescription from your vet for this food. I would give Royal Canin even if she hadn't been sick. Wish I knew from the beginning. We have used Royal Canin for years until a recent purchase of dog food. My pug is not the same, she started off with diarrhea one week and now vomiting the next week. We took away her food and started her on bland food, chicken and rice. She started to introduce her normal food and after her vomiting again she is refusing to eat any food. We have never had any issues until this month. After reading all the reviews I am terrified for my dog.
