L.T. came to Cary Street Vet from Richmond Animal Care and Control in June of 2015. He was named Big Tom at RACC, but since there's only one "Big Tom" at CSVH we had to change his name. L.T. is basically a dog in a cat suit. He's learning to walk on leash, he's learned to target for treats, and he is incredibly food motivated. The staff at CSVH have even had trouble with him escaping to the kennel to hang out with the dogs at every opportunity. L.T. would like a home where he can be in the middle of the action. Due to his high activity level he may not do well in a small apartment unless he has an owner willing to dedicate time to training and playing. L.T. is two years old, neutered and up to date on vaccines. If you think you may be able to offer L.T. the loving forever home he deserves please speak to any of the CSVH staff for more info on adoption.
By early evening, they were put back into their crates and loaded into a van bound for the Richmond SPCA, where they will eventually be placed for adoption. They were to be joined by two more groups of dogs arriving on later flights.

All cats and dogs available for adoption are vaccinated, spayed and neutered.Richmond Boxer Rescue is a very small organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating boxers. We pride ourselves on taking the dogs that no one else will take.....the senior boxers, boxers with heartworms, boxers with demodex or other health issues. We will help any dog in need, though, so there are often young, healthy dogs available as well. We do not have a shelter facility so we can only house as many dogs as we have foster homes for. If you are interested in adopting and we don't have a dog in foster care that would fit your family's lifestyle, please contact us.
